Trapped in a Broken Body—Can You Imagine?

On October 4, 2011, in Featured, by Steve Kayser

Can you imagine being trapped in a body that is breaking down? Can you imagine watching your child struggle with normal things like getting on the school bus or playing tag? Can you imagine how helpless and fragile Muscular Dystrophy can make you? If you can’t imagine …

IF YOU CAN’T IMAGINE … WATCH

IMAGINE

Now, imagine being part of the cure—taking an active role rather than being a passive bystander.

HELP ME IMAGINE—HELP ME TAKE ACTION

My name is Jay McKeever, and I am working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Lockup to raise funds to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy and to assist children who are suffering from it now. Please join me in this effort! We need your financial assistance to post my bond. Please lend your support during the Springdale Lockup 2011, on October 12 at the Macaroni Grill.

Donate Now!

Your 100% tax-deductible donation will help MDA continue research into the cause and the possible cure of the 43 neuromuscular diseases they cover. Your support of the MDA Lockup will also help the MDA provide medical equipment, clinic visits, support groups and a magical week of MDA Summer Camp for the families who are being served by the association in our local area.

Thank you so much for your kind consideration.

As an old Cincom-er from the early days (I opened up all of Latin Amertica and coined the operational phrase "Cincom  Las Americas) back in the early 70's,) I am very proud and pleased to learn that my old employer is working alongside MDA to find a cure for all of the diseases combined within the Muscular Dystropby family of diseases.

As Tom Nies will remember, our youngest daughter, Jennifer, is one of Jerry's 'kids' and has been (most actively and energetically and creatively) in her wheelchair now for all but  the first 5 years of her life.  She is doing well, is married, works in the film industry as a writer and director.   Jerry lewis has been a lifelong friend of Jenni's.

This was my first visit to the Cincom home site, and I'm very very impressed indeed.
