His eclectic string of projects include; Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Backdraft, Moll Flanders, Rocky II, Blown Away, as well as the TNT movie Houdini and the successful reboots of the classic TV series The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. The films and television series he and his partner have produced have grossed over $1 billion.


Pen has worked with and learned from heavyweights like Ron Howard, Jodie Foster, Morgan Freeman, Robin Wright and Jeff Bridges. Now get this – Pen dropped out of high school when he was 15 years old (insert irony here) but now this high school dropout teaches at the University of Southern California’s prestigious film school.


Pen has a new book out called ‘Riding the Alligator.” It’s a book about screenwriting – but it’s much more than that. It’s an inspirational book about life.
